Swimming ClubThe Coorparoo Swimming Club has open membership and welcomes swimmers from both Coorparoo State School and the wider community. The swimming club is a great way for kids to make new friends, keep fit and learn good sportsmanship. The club enjoys the benefits of:
Friday nights are club nights, where swimmers can participate in races in all four strokes. Programmed events range from 25 meters to 200 meters. However, there are also ‘little-uns’ races every club night for children who can only swim half the length. Events are timed and recorded. Swimmers are placed in races according to their time, not their age. The aim is to improve on your own best time. The club also has an active competition schedule against other clubs, with meets held at both home and away. Club members are encouraged to participate in inter-club meets, but participation is optional. Non-members are welcome to attend any club night, where they can just observe or even have a go at racing. Come and ‘check us out’. Racing is HEAPS OF FUN. Upcoming Events
